CAR STORAGE AND CARE

We offer first rate storage with a flexible, friendly approach. Whilst our prices are low, the facilities and service certainly isn’t reflected in the price!!!

Cars are stored in our recently refurbished insulated building. The humidity in the building is controlled at 50-55% relative humidity. Our research indicates this is the optimum level, above this steel will rust, any drier and any wood and leather will be excessively dried out.

All cars are stored under dust sheets. Whilst we feel it is unnecessary, we can supply an airchamber/carcoon if required.

For storage of over 1 month we either disconnect the battery or fit a battery conditioner. We also inflate the tyres to 50% above their normal pressures to prevent flat spots.

For longer periods of storage we recommend that cars are stored on axle stands. For cars in for longer term storage we offer a variety of maintenance programmes including engine run-ups and fully insured road exercising.
